BIO
Paul Battaglini, born in Northern New Jersey, started taking pictures at the age of 13 when his grandparents had left behind a large box of old 35mm SLR cameras. Shortly after learning the basics, Paul immersed himself in the art, photography and filmmaking courses at Columbia Senior High School in Maplewood, N.J.
Thinking that filmmaking was the career path he wanted to take, Paul ventured to the Film and Media Arts program at Temple University. Even as a film major, he continued to shoot still life outside of his studies. During his junior year, Paul interned at Barnaby Draper Studios in New York City, where he learned the various aspects of the photography business.
After his graduation, Paul has worked on television shows such as “Weird, True and Freaky,” which aired on Animal Planet. He has also completed photo and video work for WDFA Marketing, Sammy Davis Vintage, Banda Legacy Investment Holdings and Truly Unique Vision. Even though Paul has recently excelled in the digital media realm, he continues to photograph on film.
“Digital still seems too cold and distant. Film keeps the subject warm and close to the heart.”
