HISTORY

My Father had told me stories of how much my Grandfather loved taking pictures.  My Grandmother had kept dozens of his photo albums throughout the decades.  When my Grandmother had passed away, my Father had brought home a large box of single lens reflex cameras my Grandfather had collected over the years.  I opened the box and I was hooked.

My Father and I had taken the cameras to the local camera shop for appraisal.  The shopkeeper evaluated the cameras and told me to keep only one, a 1985 Canon 35mm SLR.  For the next couple of years, I had taken over 600 photographs over 4 family vacations, hoping to continue the albums my Grandfather had left behind.

After really grasping the basics of photography, I returned to the local camera shop looking for a larger format to shoot on.  I came across a very old Mamiya M645 film camera.  $400 later, the camera continues to take wonderful photos on film.

So, in honor of my family history, I plan to publish on this blog some of my best work from my medium format camera.  I simply just want to share the passion of photography that was passed down from my Grandfather with anyone who wishes to follow.  Hope you enjoy every photograph!

Thank you.
